Music from the other side = pop and rock beat music as the “Christian” version of demonic pop-rock music. It confuses ecstatic emotions with true new birth by the Spirit of God, so that we can enjoy sin with a clear conscience like a painted mound, without being plagued by negative emotions. Lectures by former rock musician Brian Neumann can help us better understand how dangerous modern syncopated music is to us, as well as the hidden hypnotic images on television and in movies. Pop star David Bowie is a member of these circles. He has already said that every form of modern music, even the most obscure forms such as New Orleans jazz or modern ‘Christian’ music, has its roots in voodoo.
We know that people actively engaged in the demonic religion of voodoo, after a certain period of time, become obsessed with very rhythmic music, fall to the floor and shake their whole body and limbs. Interestingly, we see the same thing in distinctly charismatic churches, where it is interpreted as the work of the Holy Spirit, even though we are talking about demonic forces. Only through such extreme cases can we see where such music gradually leads, including what lies behind the milder form. It allows Satan increasing access to our mind and body.
This kind of music has long permeated our circles. In the beginning, it entered through the less gaudy music of the old Heritage Singers, and later through Sandi Patti and the modern Heritage Singers, who not coincidentally paved the way for today’s totally charismatic music with demonic backgrounds and highlighted drums. This again led to increased moral apostasy with lulled minds. The same happened when the then quiet Beatles and Elvis Presley paved the way for the blasphemous heavy metal music. Ellen White has prophesied the infiltration of secular music into our church with drums, rhythm, and dance as part of the last retreat before the end of probation, explaining that music has a powerful impact on our minds, in a positive or negative sense.

- “The things you have described as taking place in Indiana, the Lord has shown me would take place just before the close of probation. Every uncouth thing will be demonstrated. There will be shouting, with drums, music, and dancing. The senses of rational beings will become so confused that they cannot be trusted to make right decisions. And this is called the moving of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit never reveals itself in such methods, in such a bedlam of noise…A bedlam of noise shocks the senses and perverts that which if conducted aright might be a blessing. The powers of satanic agencies blend with the din and noise, to have a carnival, and this is termed the Holy Spirit’s working.“ {Ellen White: 2SM, p. 36}
The Indiana Adventist convention in 1900 certainly did not feature rock or any other form of extreme music that one might use to defend the current kind of music of our day. People are making the nonsensical claims that today’s music has “no connection” to the stated form. The noise described only describes the difference from the particularly quiet music of that time, which served to praise God. Only the discrete drumming, the influence of pop and jazz, or the discrete form of dancing (swing), often accompanied by a very discreet ecstasy of false joy, represent the fulfillment of Ellen White’s prophecy. Many are familiar with the other side’s contention that musical lyrics are unimportant if the musical form glorifies the enemy. It is this type of music, which was prophecied to mark the time of the end is receiving increasing applause in churches, and before our very eyes.
In defense is given the misused biblical term “drums” from Psalm 150. After studying the biblical past, we can see that drums in those days were very small instruments that accompanied the music of joy and worship with a light beat of a beat. The drums of that time did not play with the syncopated rhythm, frequency, and volume of today’s modern music. As further proof they take the music of the Jews at a later stage when it had already been drastically distorted under the influence of pagan nations, much like what we have today. The Jews then adopted drastically larger drums mimicing the nations around them. And such music enabled and reinforced the obsession of many in the charismatic churches. But quiet Far Eastern music, where one quietly and slowly repeats the same passage, rhythm and tones over and over, is also one of the hypnotic tools!”
If we look at Revelation again, it is very clear that God is going to spit out Laodicea, but at the same time we see that there is no other church after her. We know that God is a Being of order and organization and does not want a chaotically scattered people, except during the last persecution. Since the Bible also says that the tares will grow with the wheat until the harvest, we must pray that God will show us what to do. At the charismatic Pan-European Advent Youth Congress in 2013 (Novi Sad/Serbia), besides satanic music, there was a pantomime play with evident physical depiction of immoral flirting. Ellen White writes in Testimonies that God explicitly forbids all theater both in and out of the church. But even with such plain truth, the “arguments” that Ellen White praised her granddaughter when she put on a simple children’s performance in church come up again!
As if this was a corrupt play! If one stays in apostasy long enough, his heart is hardened to the point that he finds justification for everything in the Bible, even though the truth is clear! At this convention, Jay-Z, who has been declared a Satan worshipper, was also let loose, and during the breaks there was a “free” atmosphere with dance music, as a definite fulfillment of prophecy. Many true children of God who were there with sincere intentions did not perceive anything at all, as the presence of many evil angels on their territory also clouded the eyes of the truth bearers. The inspired Ellen White explicitly stresses that we should not attend such gatherings, for there we will surely fall, since God did not send us there as He did Elijah with the priests of Baal.
